Gaming Games you play out of (ritualistic habit) ?

Over the last year I noticed a trend:

I don't play "normal games" a.k.a. "story to finish in x hours" anymore.

Atm the only game I still play is "Apex" - which I started because a friend kept asking me as they had noone to play with.
(It is a fps, but teambased, so I said "yes")
So I play this game, out of habit a few times a week.


But I play nothing else anymore.
I got so many unfinished games (PokemonPearlRemake, Animal Crossing) but I never play those...

It's a strange situation, one I never had before...
(And tbf, I kinda think my switch would dust in completly if not for this game)

Bonusfact:
I play this game, even despite all the issues introduced..
I "quit"a month ago, but was curious a few days ago and reinstalled (I'm so weak )

So:
Do you have games you "only play out of habit" ?

As an habit... interesting, never realized...

For me that'd be either one of these 5:

Super Mario Land
Alleyway
Looney Tunes
Tetris
Street Fighter

More than an habit, admitting myself a complete fan of, is the MegaMan Battle Network series. Love the action in that game.

But everytime I turn on my Wii and play Wii/WiiWare/GameCube, I always make sure to play a bit of the first 5 I mentioned before, before I turn off my console.

I guess right now it's Ark: Survival Evolved. I spend way more time on that game than other games but I still get bored of it eventually and need a long break before starting up again. But each time I decide to start it up again, I'm having just as much fun as the first time I played it. Definitely got my money's worth.
