It's not really any more difficult than the other recent CV games but it is pretty bad in comparison to them. If you haven't played them yet then you won't see it and you will probably be ok with COTM but once you do then you will understand what I mean. I don't want to ruin the game for you if you find it enjoyable.

why on earth in the new version of GBAATM is the writing so small? the older version i could see the writing much better!

The reason why is for dynamic creation of the font to fit the buttons, etc to let even those on netbooks be able to run the program without it going off the screen. I'll try to even the scaling level out in the next revision so it isn't so small for people with larger screen dims.

And I keep getting a White Screen, Whenever i do 1 code, it doesn't work

I did some testing with the codes...

For some odd reason setting the cycles to 2 prevents the white screening which wasn't what I expected to be causing the white screening. The codes don't work at all so I am going to have to look at the assembly code generated to figure out what is going on when I get the time. I'm sure it is do to the nested joker/test codes.

BTW the GS codes are those that are used also with the AR cheat engine so they don't work with GBAATM -- only the GSSP/GSv3/CB codes work.

After patching a GBA rom with a trainer and some cheatcodes, can you ever remove it back to being a clean rom, or add more codes?

Also when using the program my rom decreases in size, is this normal?

Edit : I tried running the rom through GBAATM again and got a No IRQ's Found error

No you can't undo the trainer or add more codes.

In 99% of the cases the output will be smaller than the input file. This is because all the games are padded to the next memory size (4M/8M/16M/32M).

It is normal that nothing is found when you run it through again because the code 'signature' that it searches for is the same code that gets overwritten to jump to the trainer function.

You have to use the first line of the Must be on/Master code as the first code:

You can use long codes but that code won't work because it is an AR style code. Unfortunately, there isn't a CB code for it. I haven't played this game in so long so I forget if you can become Super Sonic if you have the chaos and the keys. It's worth a try. CB codes

I have also tried the previous list of cheats in this thread, considering some of them appealed to me quite a bit anyhow!

I've tried the instructions;
[x] trainer
[ ] slow motion
[x] enable/disable (x) no
[ ] trainer menu
{1} execute every
[x] vblank check
ram to use: 0x3007FA0
code type: codebreaker/gs v3

I've used those instructions with both sets of cheats
I've tested the game in VBA-M latest rev, classic VBA, and the latest publicly available no$gba
It always freezes when the nintendo logo should show up
I've tried 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 20 execute times
I've attempted to use the menu, it loads and I can use it just fine but same freeze happens afterwards
For kicks, I tried patching no trainer but enable/disable. Same freeze.

I used DEADBEEF to and vba-m to try and find a good spot for RAM but I've forgotten the address I'd chosen and it did not help, and I imagine RAM isn't the problem anyhow (but I'm assuming)

Brings me back to the days of using this with my action replay and gameshark. And by using it I mean not because I always had similar issues and it was never worth it!

For the record, I'm doing this to use it with the Wii port, VBA GX. And since I've lost my sd card reader, I'm using a flash drive and moving the files over in another program. I'm that broke this month, can't even afford an sd card reader, hahaha. So I'm hoping to test it on the computer FIRST, yeah.

And the original image seems to be fine, I can load it in any emulator and have been playing it already.

Sorry if this problem has already been solved, I tried my best!

Avoid using Emucheat/VBA codes when you can and use GS/CB codes instead.

Thank you cracker, I just tried many combination of the codes you suggested until I was left with nothing but M and Coins. I also tried other settings including the previous ones above. I even tried another copy of the ROM.

No luck though, freezes when the Nintendo logo should start in all emulators once again. I tried snapshotting past that, if that's even viable. It didn't help.
I would DEADBEEF the ROM so I could use the rom and get a snapshot after that, then patch the ROM and snapshot into the game but I could not enable the cheats then.

Okay, so now that I had some spare time, I decided to go start with patching codes in for the series of Pokemon GBA games - at the very least, Emerald as that was the one version I was closest to 100%'ing the 'dex on (thanks to a glitch using the BP give code at the battle factory

).

Anyway, so I DEADBEEF the game in order to look for the memory addresses as instructed, but when I load up the rom in VBA, I find that it just seems stuck at a white screen, without so much as attempting to load the game. While I found the memory addresses with no problem, now I wonder whether I'll be able to patch the necessary codes I'd want so I can go play them as I want to play them. Any help on this matter?

okay, now I'm confused. I know I can't use that big code but I found a set of smaller ones that give the same result. When I put them in and start up the patched rom none of the codes show up (I turned the menu thing on). I even put the two line code in by itself and got nothing.
