The digital version of Wii Sports Club has a few things that annoy me:
- huge eShop icon in the main menu
- Game trying to download data from the Internet everytime you launch it
- annoying pop ups telling you about renting sports
....which is why I got the retail version. And it works fine!
However, I want to launch it without having to swap discs everytime. Sadly, once I dump the disc using any kind of homebrew disc dumper, the result I get is a copy of the digital version you can get from the eShop for free, with no sports unlocked and that big ugly eShop icon in the main menu. Also, the game now tries to download data once you start it.
Is there a way to make a game think it is being launched from the disc?
Is there any flag that turns the game from retail mode to digital mode?
