I created and developed my first iPhone App called “Today I Learned“. It's free, get it here
Granted it’s not video game based, but there are tons of video game “fun facts” in the app.
Here is my iTunes description:
QUOTE said:How are you feeling today? Pretty dumb?
Well, now you can just tap or *le shake your way to INSTANT KNOWLEDGE. Get fun facts, tips, history, pop-culture, tech, life hacks, current events, and more.
The “Today I Learned” app compiles its content from real people posting to Reddit.com about what they learned that day. Each topic is elaborated on to make sense without having to click a link.
Here’s an example:
“Today I learned… that you can locate the side of the car where your gas tank is located by looking at the arrow pointing in its direction on your gas gauge.”
TIL is launching with over 2,500 factoids and will be updated every month. (No Internet connection required to access the content!)
TIL is perfect for road trips, parties, hangouts, and long plane or train rides. You can even re-phrase the topics into a question to create a guessing game with your friends.
One click sharing allows you to post what you learned today onto Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. You can also email it to a friend or copy it into an SMS message.
Learn something new every day.

I’m posted it here for two reasons. First of all I’m proud of my little App and that Apple approved it, I put a lot of work into learning some basic Object-C and compiling all the content. I’m not an iPhone developer, I got to the third chapter of a “Learn to…” book and I thought of the idea. So, instead of moving on to Chapter 4 in the book I took what I learned and put my efforts into making this app and getting it into the iTunes App store. Secondly, I’d LOVE to have you guys contribute to the App! The App (as it stands now) pulls it’s content from Reddit.com (manually…). I’d like to expand it a bit more for version 1.1 to include Fun Facts and things you have just recently learned in the gaming world.
PM with any interesting Video gaming "fun facts" and I'll be sure to include it (and credit you) in the next release.
It's FREE:
