New to Wii U homebrew, and need some help. I read that I need to host the www files from a web server, but I've never done anything like that. Is there a website that already has those hosted, or would it be possible to host them with Mongoose, which I'm already using to host the other exploits and programs?

Hi same way like loadiine gx2 over sd. Locally These files on mongoose like every other kxploit. Put the sd files on your sd and Run Webbrowser finish

On your sd put the homebrew channel folder in apps, on your computer put the content of the www folder in the folder where you use to host your old kxploit

With this loader, is there a possible way to make WUPInstaller work via it? I'm thinking it would be useful because it doesn't work < 532 but this does. So if you could use wupinstaller via this, then you could manually update your console.


edit: side question will this work on 5.2? I know it's not listed but I was thinking that it's the same thing as either 5.1 or 532

This may be a dumb question, but how do I make it so the browser automatically goes to my local server when it opens? It used to be that all I had to do is tap the browser button and it would eventually bring up loadiine without intervention (if the race attack didn't fail). Now I have to manually type in the IP address of my Mongoose server every time. It's rather annoying and time consuming, especially if I get one or more race attack failures, which is typical.

Really? Have you tried entering your IP address in the browser then shutdown the console right away, then power it up again, the browser should load the IP address entered previously automatically.

Set your server to point directly to the index.html, but don't have the exploit itself in the directory yet. Fire up the Wii U, and hit that page. It will hit the index.html and say page not found. Power off the Wii U. Now load the payload532.html in the server and and turn the Wii U back on. When you go to the browser, it will auto load the index.html page, and auto launch the exploit, it has now cached the page. You can actually turn off the your web server at this point. It only needs needs to be able to Know that IP is alive. It should auto launch GX2 anytime you got to your browser now..so if you ever want to do anything else in it..well thats too damn bad.....not really, you have to be quick but can hit the favorites menu and go somewhere else.
This ended up working great for auto-loading the exploit. Typing my server IP was getting old. Thanks, Onion_Knight!

I don't understand your question, sorry.

There are already links on the first post to examples projects.
If you want to know how to compile, it's usually always the same way:
- install devkitpro
- install (download/extract) the libogc and portlib provided by dimok (he provided them in homebrew launcher git release tab)
- go to the sources folder, open a command line window and type : make

if you have a quad code, you can compile faster, type : make -j4

Brilliant work @dimok, I am noticing my wii u freeze about 80% of the time after the gx2 was launched prior. Fix whats causing this and you're out of beta !!

On 5.3.2, no spoof -- hosting kws method w/latest homebrew loader and gx2.

The 5.5.1 kernel exploit exists, I have seen it many times. I don't know why somebody doesn't release it, even if the IOSU exploit is coming soon, we still need kernel access for things like this. >.>
Obviously there's a reason why people are holding back on releasing it. I really need it tbh.

Okay, I'm sorry for saying need. But many people want it, including me. But I'll just be patient and wait.
I can understand that it is wanted. Like you said, there are reasons why they are holding on to it. Usually that is because they don't want to release it without having another exploit that they can use in a future release after Nintendo patches the one in 5.5.1.
