How possible will it be to port the Pixel's built-in Google Assistant to other devices?

If it can be ported, what will be the minimum Android/SDK version?

No need to port it, it is a part of android 7.1 and all the devices that receive the update will get the assistant.

It probably isnt part of aosp (Android open source), so in theory it will probably depend on how google have implemented it and how theyve coded it e.g. Sdk version, dependencies, etc.
