Use a USB a to USB a cable make a program that can show all the files of the wii console after pluging in one end in a pc and the other end in to the wii USB slot delete the files and put fresh files in to make it work and then remod it

I think I made a big mistake a month ago with my wii
It had been moded for months then I got into installing wads I went to <site> and they had a wad that was wii menu 1.0 dev and I installed it and now when I turn on my wii it has a black screen and my wiimote pairs but nothing shows up.

Ps my wii is a original white wii with the latest version of the wii menu
Wii Menu (USA) (v1.0) (Dev).wad this was the killer of my wii

Edit here is the website

Without any kind of backup or bootmii the system is bricked. There is nothing that can be done to fix it.

You can't take control over the system via USB -- there is no software loaded that would even listen to connected USB devices. The only way I can think of is desoldering the NAND to flash a backup with hardware methods.

Is my wii just phucked
Slowly I'm feeling like a broken record forced to repeat myself over and over again.

Without access to either BootMii or Priiloader, there is no known way to fix your Wii in software. Hardware flashing might be a possibility.

That doesn't change just because you replied to half a dozen other threads with software bricked Wii consoles.

I would really like to give a more pleasant reply. But what should this rely be? "Hey, somebody found a magic spell to repair such problems." ← No gonna happen.

if you can access BootMii, go to BootMii, then press the Power button of your Wii one time, then press the RESET button. HBC should show up. If it does, just reinstall a 4.3 system menu wad (or whatever version you had before bricking). If you don't have access to BootMii, then your Wii is dead.

There is a software to create a blank band but you need the keys.

Using bootmii MAKE a band backup and use that band backup to offline install menu 4.3 and restore the resultant nand file

You still haven't fixed it? You said you had BootMii. Use that.
Contradicting information in this topic if I remember correctly. BootMii there or not? I confess that I'm too lazy to read everything from start to finish again.
If there still was access to BootMii it should have been a quick fix and not repeated desperate post over months.

yeah the OP tell about BootMii and what he is unable to use WiiMote on BootMii, later somebody tell you use the front buttons to navigate BootMii

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
