Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna (I am Setsuna.) Localization Project / Project Endir

★Excerpt:
Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna (I am Setsuna.) is a Japanese role-playing video game developed by Tokyo RPG Factory and published by Square Enix. It was released for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Japan in February 2016, and worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows in July 2016.

The story, set in a land gripped by perpetual winter, follows a mercenary and his charge, a maiden named Setsuna who must offer herself as a sacrifice at a sacred shrine to appease hostile demons. The story's central theme is sadness. The gameplay, which is deliberately designed to evoke role-playing games of the 1990s, uses an Active Time Battle system based on those used in early Final Fantasy games and Chrono Trigger.

★About:
Hello, I'm Ignis00, you may know me for my past projects like; Phantom Kingdom Portable and Yuusha 30 Second, my primary goal is to bring everybody what SE had neglected to bring us, namely Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna (I am Setsuna.) for the PlayStation Vita. I think it is of just our right to experience the game as much as the PC and PS4 do. I would like to take this project on my own, as a way to teach myself; as such, I appreciate anyone who's willing to help but I'd like to kindly take down your offer for the latter reason.

★Team:
Project Manager: Ignis00

★Bugs/Glitches:
The game will crash on the Snow Chronicles interface due to the amount of English text encompassing even the original Japanese one on BraveStory, further investigation will be done, though, one theory is that the game can't handle it.
≫ During battle when you select a Tech, you'll notice that the description has been cut off.
≫ Text might run-off the screen at some instances.
≫ Tutorial descriptions will leave a single letter at the end for every line, this issue is might be due to how the game natively handles Japanese-characters as we're only "pushing" Latin-characters hence the latter problem.
≫ Save data title is truncated due to string-length limitations. And by that I mean, Assembly-level limitations.
Vessel name is untranslated; Bugfix 1.1 released along with workaround for 1.0 users.

★Untouched:
≫ Trophies - As soon as someone finds the priv_key for the RSA signature, I'll work on it.
≫ Manual - Will be working on it.

"guys"? There's only me by the way.

Please do exercise patience, I'm doing the best of what I can.

UPDATE:
- I had been away for a few days, thus the lack of in-depth updates. Though I'm back!
- BraveStory is up next!
Damn... I was thinking that you're the head of the project, but was supported by few ones.
Sorry bro, I really appreciate your solo effort, for this one!

UPDATE:
- BraveStory DONE!

NEXT:

- 3x Parameter Files; files that induces a crash when imported, might need to look into it further.
- Textures; hard to do, for searching for those is quite messy.
- Native Language Support (Currently it's 0x00:Japanese and I need to make it as 0x01:English), might be the longest one of them all.

NOTE:
- I suddenly caught a nasty cold, I'll try to rest for a few days then I'll resume the project.

I know this isn't related to the translation, but has anyone figured the music format, so we could get proper uncompressed tracks? The OST lacks many tracks too, for some reason.
The "Original," not "Winter's End," and by original I mean the "Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna Original Soundtrack" has all of the tracks in the game. And yes, I already did, I now have the full-complete BGM library of the game, all in 8 to 16-bit PCM format. They're much clearer than the OST themselves.

Damn... I was thinking that you're the head of the project, but was supported by few ones.

No harm done, and you're welcome!

Just wanted to let you know that you are fucking awesome for doing this, and I can't wait until you are done! Whoohoo!!!
Stay tuned!

Your doing great and making quick progress, alone at that! Thanks for this and get well soon fam!
Take a well deserved break!

I look forward to your progress when you're feeling better.
Hi Ignis! Are you already better from the cold? How's the things going?
Be better!
Still waiting for the good news! And hope your condition get better soon :)
Thank you for all your concerns, I really appreciate it, and I'm fully well now.

Woo-hoo! Got to start charging my dusty Vita! Way to go Ignis!!:)
Thanks!

UPDATE:
- Some of the nasty bugs that I've found are now fixed and gone!
- The 3x problematic Parameter files are also done!
- Snow Chronicles bug had also been dealt with and is now fully working!

NEXT:
- Textures; hard to do, for searching for those is quite messy.
- Native Language Support (Currently it's 0x00:Japanese and I need to make it as 0x01:English), might be the longest one of them all. Might be done before or even after the first numbered release.

NOTE:
- To those who would want to import their pre-localized game saves into the this(localized) one, your saves *might* get bugged in the process, so I advise that you should start from the beginning if you want a bug free playthrough. Bugs include; entries in the Snow Chronicles that shouldn't be there and a few other dummy items appearing in your inventory.
- I might not post updates frequently due to other things that might hinder me on doing so, but I'd like to say that I am working on the project and will not stop until I've produced a numbered release!

P.S.:
- The game is pretty much done when it comes to importing all of the texts, all there is left to do are the textures, and so, I might be doing a weeks-long search-and-destroy operation for bugs and other things that I can and might improve. And so, until then just be on the look-out for updates!

And please do exercise patience, I am speaking on behalf of everybody who has, had, and is currently been/being involved in some sort of localization project; IT. ISN'T. EASY. The best thing that everyone should do is support the ones whom are working on the project and hope for the best for it. This isn't our job, we are doing this in our free time, and as such, we only ask for your support and patience. Thank you.

I hate to ask a dumb question, but I really don't know. I haven't been on this site in a year, or any hack site. Does this mean the vita has been hacked to play isos like the psp? because i assume this is a patch, which would be applied to a vita iso.

Yes sir it does! The first requirement is to be on firmware 3.60 though. If your not at that might have to wait quite some time as it's the only firmware version compatible as of right now.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
