maybe you're older than meyes, i dont care, if i can get a working copy of any game i like, i WILL play it with the help of flashcarts, cfw, of any means posible. Sometimes I buy them, hack´em, erase them, or just collect them.
what really matters is what you think or can do. I think by now you're old enough to know that is right and wrong.
On the other hand, "my dog ate them" is the oldest excuse in the book...... how old are you, 8?
My dog ate my homework.
That mischievous pup
got hold of my homework
and gobbled it up.
My dog ate my homework.
It’s gonna be late.
I guess that the teacher
will just have to wait.
My dog ate my homework.
He swallowed it whole.
I shouldn’t have mixed it
with food in his bowl.

I'm seriously questioning what you are trying to say right nowWouldn´t say so, need form info, at least you got an A?
I’m glad to say my homework’s done.
I finished it last night.
I’ve got it right here in this box.
It’s not a pretty sight.
My dog chewed up my homework.
He slobbered on it, too.
So now my homework’s ripped to shreds
and full of slimy goo.
It isn’t much to look at,
but I brought it anyway.
I’m going to dump it on your desk
if I don’t get an A.

Because he used to legally own a copy and it was destroyed.
The developer and publisher got their share of money for his copy.
This is actually false (at least in the US, and perhaps Australia and the UK). Anything that circumvents copyright protection is not legal, regardless if you already have the game, or its a "backup", or whatever else. See @wolfmankurd's post.
