Hardware Is it safe to charge the switch with an ipad charger?

I know this probably was asked a million times already, but I still want to make sure to not brick my switch
Is it safe to charge the switch with an iPad charger and a USB cable from the pro controller while using the switch in handheld mode? I really don’t want to remove the official charger from my dock every time or buy another charger, but I’m scared to charge it any other way after all the issues with third party docks bricking consoles

You mean the USB-A to wall adapter that comes with the iPad? Probably.

Yes but it won't have enough power to charge it while you play. You more or less need a switch charger for that.

I've used all sorts of chargers on my Switch without an it issue. But as someone above pointed out it is unlikely to charge fast enough to play at the same time.

One issue I've had however is it refuses to charge with a OnePlus phone's Dash charger. No idea why, just didn't play ball, no damage though.
