You do realise that the reason it looks like this is to keep CPU load low don't you?!?
Homebrew has no access to GPU Acceleration at the minute so all visual work is carried out by the CPU hence the lack of waves or animation. At this time there is ZERO reason to make it look pretty. It's functional and does the job but the loader is a first release and still in it's infancy much like the scene it is a part of.
This elitist attitude that a lot of people on this forum have is ridiculous. Instead of being happy that we have a launcher (as primitive as it is, it is still a launcher) we have people complaining it's not pretty, complaining that it's not a true launcher, claiming the title is clickbait.
Quite frankly, it's getting boring now.
It is open source you idiot. Go on GitHub and download the source and make it better
I don't think that's CSS either, as it's a NRO that would be C/C++.

wow, it's a pain setting things up for this with ubuntu bash on windows. I made a build with like 3 roms in it but I don't have a 3.0 switch to test. There are TONS of warnings compiling each and every step. And... is there a size limit? I guess there is no SD access yet, so this must run entirely in RAM? My resulting .nro is 5,492kb.
Are you setting LLVM_POSTFIX=-5.0 when compiling the nro? That should clear up some errors on Ubuntu.
