and something that will fit a DS phat (basically normal sized GBA carts, not funky lite only fits). I have an R4 for DS and simply need something for GBA emulation thats under $100 and simple enough that a moron like me could do it. Any ideas or linkage to sites? I'm not even sure whats the best option here as I simply went VisualBoyAdvance during the GBA years.

M3 Mini-SD Perfect fits perfect in a fat DS, I used to use one.

Yeah, I recommend using one of those too.

Great compatibility and I've never had a single problem with mine.

And Costello wrote an excellent guide for it - here

Four choices on DealExtreme, as far as I can see:

EFA (Extreme Flash Advance) 512mbit (64 megabytes)
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.10447
Rudimentary menu. You must find the software yourself tho (on the net). Easy enough to use.

Fire Linker 128mbit (16 megabytes)
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.4707
Ordered this. Oldschool non-USB.

EZ-flash IV EZ-Cart (expandable mem)
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.11179
This I will get shortly.

Elink 512mbit (64 megabyte)
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.10369
Ordered this.

Spoiled for choice, really. Prices are nothing to complain about either.
Just keep in mind DealExtreme might be slow in delivering (3 weeks for my last order).
Happy GBA gaming

Is there a reason you're not opting for an EZ3-in-1 exp. pack? Best thing I ever did, besides buy an R4... Phat versions are harder to find, I bought mine from BambooGaming.com. (They're out of stock ATM)

If you only have a DS and are thinking about older low-space carts don't forget to check how the cart connects to a computer. Some linker cables plug into the link port of the GBA/GBASP while the cartridge is in the system, rather than plugging into the cartridge itself. You can still play them in a DS, but if you don't have a GBA you won't be able to get anything on it. (read: Fire Linker )

You are aware the only difference in the versions is the actual plastic

You could take apart a old gba game and part the internal chip out ad place it i the gba oe ad use a non coductive filler to fill i the gap's ad keep the card down low enough

EZ Flash 4 MiniSD = $30 on Dealextreme + Free shipping (Plus comes with USB reader for SD/slots)
2 Gig MiniSD Card + SD Adaptor (so that it can be read in above reader) = $13 shipped from NewEgg

Under $50 solution, can hold tons of games and over 100 NES games.

Forgot a 0 there lol

2048Meg's / 1.048 (biggest non in one game) = 1954

and a ass load more if there the small 24Kb rom's

Let's just say a 2GB card is more than enough to hold the entire NES library

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)
