Jeez the translated story lasted about 10 minutes of gameplay or less. And there's a lot of the UI that's not translated. But better than nothing i suppose. I'd help if there was anyone around with the will to give this project a little more love

I noticed this too. Does your game get stuck on the items menu or at the store too? I can't exit the menu when I do either of those things and I have to restart the game

i don't recall getting stuck like that, but i didn't know where else to go after a while. I was walking around the school aimlessly talking to everybody and nothing happened. I usually can work my way around japanese RPGs, but i got frustrated and uninstalled the game after a couple hours.

yes, but the translated parts end 10 minutes into the game or so
I'm one of those who finished Medarot 3 in gameboy back in 6th grade without knowing japanese. Usually in Medabots, there's a hidden switch somewhere like for example, in the GBC, you need to press a doorbell or something but this is not visible graphically (I accidentally stumbled upon it). There are also stuff like you need to equip a certain part to get past an obstacle.

yeah i played those on GBC too. It's very very unlikely that i find out what's the gimmick if i have no clue what's going on. That's why i should either have a FAQ at hand (and i don't have the time or willpower to do that at this age) or at least be able to understand the hints in game!
I don't mind the mechanics, i suppose it'd be fun if i understood. Like "oh you need a magnetic arm on your medabot to lift this meteor and open a new path". But equipping a thousand parts like a madman just to try... eh

So how's the project going?
Don't give up, it's Medabot! What other english speakers are left to spread the word of this wonderful franchise?
Also, Medabot 9 looks extremely fun.

If it didn't get a following back when we had an anime and stuff, it probably won't get it now. Sadly. There's a dozen or more games and only a handful are in english :/
Y'know, if they had played their hand right and translated some of their games along with AX when the anime was ongoing, they might've been successful in the west.
Anyways, how can i support the person making this fan translation?

We started working on Medarot 9 English Translation, we haven't put much time into it yet due to other projects. Some menus are translated without having the game break. Once we have more work done we will have an Official post.

Are you planning on translating the whole thing or just the menus?

Could you please update us on the process? I think the translation of the original game stopped because of tech difficulties
Thanks! ^_^

As I mentioned above when we have more I will have a post that will be updated. We will most likely just be doing the menus.
