I was thinking of upgrading from my old-fashioned EZ-Flash IV for extra compatibility, and since information like this is somewhat esoteric, I figured I'd ask. (I suppose this question can also apply to compatibility landmines like the Tiny Chao Garden as well)

EZ-Flash Omega DE works fine with GCGBP

Only the flashcarts with proper hardware save type emulation will work. Both EZ-Flash Omega (DE) and Everdrive GBA mini (formerly GBA X5 mini) will work.

I am fully aware of this. Does anyone have a list? I don't want to overspend for features I won't need.

Then I guess you should go for the regular Omega as the DE is quite a bit more expensive.
Those 3 carts are pretty much the list. They're the only ones still being made.
I did - it's got the features I need. Aside from slot-2 support, the DE and Everdrive have nothing I could really desire. And even slot-2 support is sidesteppable with cheat codes and PKHeX (and my original copy of FireRed I still have)

For future reference, everdrive are not being produced anymore, and it's not known when they might be able to resume production (if ever.) Though I hear some chinese manufacturers make and sell clones online, but I wouldn't imagine they have the same level of reliability and quality control.

Oh sick! Good to know he could get started back up quickly. I was assuming since they're still out of stock basically everywhere atm (although maybe that's just their popularity, lol.)

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
