..., or just use ModMii instead

I second this. This guide from xzxero was great back then (a few years ago). That's what I used to hack my Wii. But now it's pretty much obsolete, thanks to ModMii. I understand removing the sticky status. Why confuse noobs as to what guide they should use to hack their Wii?

I just hacked another Wii a couple days ago (sister-in law's Wii and probably the last one I will ever hack). I couldn't believe how ModMii makes it super easy and fast now. I was done in less than half an hour, including the nand backup step. Cheers, XFlak, happy new year and long live ModMii! :grog:

Hey everyone.....I have never done a wii mod before but I have paid to have it modded. I have neogamma and homebrew but I think my system is a bit out of date. My main reasoning for wanting to update is to get my old burned Gamecube games to work that don't seem to work now. Can anyone offer maybe chat assistance for me? I just don't want to brick my wii. Thanks so much!

hey everyone,i had used this same guide 2 years ago on my 4.3e wii,now i want to use the updated files so I can have the latest compatibility for zelda skyward and other games.

so I want to roll back to the original state and start from the beginning because i feel this is going to be the healthies method for me.And less of a hassle.

can anybody point me to a guide or tell me the steps to roll back to the original state.

Thanks

I wish there was a certain standard to wii modding, or a one-click solution ;)

Why do I have to jump between a billion IOS's everytime I wanna do an extra hack?
I am honestly confused because I have no idea what following these steps would do to my already softmodded wii,..
I softmodded a long time ago and did quite a bit of hacking and messing around. I remember doing some sort of backup a long time ago, but i have no idea what I did before/after that backup and where that backup is and i somehow don't have Priiloader ;?

I mainly hacked my wii so I could use USB loader GX but.. I don't remember what I did to get that either ;p... I vaguely remember something about ISO 36,249, and 250..

Anyone have ANY idea what I did to my Wii and how do I get back on track! ME WANT HACKS :yaywii:

Just curious, for this mod is there a specific firmware the Wii needs to be on or does any firmware work at this point? (Don't own a Wii yet.)

installed The Homebrew Channel (HBC)
installed Bootmii
installed Install a patched IOS236
installed Priiloader

tried installe Multi-Mod Manager (MMM) , but controlen shuts off. it asks for another ios current iso 236 (v65535)
tried installe YAWMM but controlen shuts off.
it asks for ios 249, ( or it says , select the iOS version to use ios 249) will install it installe it If i have a white controller, or do i install it myself if so, where can I find a safe download of it, and how do i installe It and the best to do it .

My USB Loader GX can not find the hard drive, have been trying all the suggestions here on the forum . is there someone who is intiligent enough to resolve this.
it's a dell disk that is formatted to FAT32 and have used WiiBackupManager_Win32 and put some games on it in iso format

Hell not sure what was going on but for like a few weeks MP3's sounded muffled, some driver or Windows update fixed it. Thank god lol

I'd sooner buy the Meze 109 Pro if I was dropping that much on headphones. I don't even like buds/IEMs
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I got the Google Pixel Pro buds, they're good enough for when I need portable audio. And some really cheap IEMs that Dankpods recommends, I think the KZ ZSN Pro

I'd stick with cheapo Chinese $10 ones quality is actually becoming on pair with name brand since name Brand usually quads the price up anyway loose one bud that's another $200

My Pixel Pro buds shit the bed a month or two ago. My wireless charger (which they do support Qi charging) absolutely COOKED them. Caused some problem that caused the case to heat up to 180F+
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
They were like 9 months out of warranty but I hit up Google support anyway and told them how hot they were getting and they replaced them with new ones because they wanted these for failure analysis lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    lol wireless charging
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why I can't bring myself to even spend $100 on wireless earbuds
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it's a cool idea but damn
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Apparently the case has a problem with >15W wireless chargers. Google design fault, that one.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I could live with wireless charging if the damn standard case doesn't block connection
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    how is wireless charging possible?

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Copper conducting electricity or something

@Xdqwerty, power through a coil of wire causes an electromagnetic field to be generated. Another coil of wire can be set up to harness the power from that electromagnetic field and turn it into usable energy for charging a device
