I dont want to open up the back of my N3DSXL everytime I want to test a new homebrew. So is there any usb cable for the N3DS that are able to transfer files? I know there are ftps homebrew. But my N3DSXL stays offline :P

The only 3DS USB Cables I know of, is only for charging the system...

No, no file transfers via cable, only via wifi. If you don't want your 3ds connected to the internet, plug a wifi dongle into your computer and use it to set up a hotspot to talk to the 3ds, that isn't bridged to the internet.

lol , don't you understand what that can be used for?
youè plug this cable in your 3ds , then put the cover iin place , you will have a micro/sd card slot outside the box , no need to open the cover again
you can search for youtube videos about how this works

If you don't want to remove your card you will need something special. There are SD cards with an USB end, but they won't work, because they only allow access from one device. I also found some "SDIO analyzers", but I don't know if they can be used for this. (I'm also searching for such things for years now, because I want to be able to auto-transfer unused data to a big drive and needed data to the SD card. And I guess that this will need a very complex and fast system.)

there are possible ways to do this.
a hardmod directly to the sdcard pins. to a usb port for connection.
but you can't use it directly to your USB! - you must plug that back on a card reader.

you can even put a switch to toggle bet your nand / sdcard
