I just got a message on my console from WiiConnect24 about a new update. I'm on a soft-modded Wii with 4.2U. Does anyone know anything about it? Is this 4.4?

No, it's just an update for the nintendo channel. As far as I know is just makes 3DS videos easier to find. I've updated it myself and it seems the same. I'm not sure yet but it maybe able to other things as well.
