In many countries, that is not true. Generally, you have the legal right to a backup, but you do not have the legal right to download such a "backup" off the internet; to be within the confines of the law, you must dump/rip the game yourself. In some countries (perhaps including Iran, I am not sure), this may not be the case and it may be legal to download copies of games you own, but in many, that is not the case.
In iran u cant see any original games except for ps3 :wtf: u can find any PIRATE games in legal stores......
And stupid people buy them...
Bu im not going to pay 170$ fo mario 3dland soooooo......IM A PIRATE!
ROMMMSSSSZZZZ

The first post is a bit of an eyesore, too many bright colours and over-use of bold. Reminds me of mid-90s websites. It would be great if you could tone it down and neaten it up a bit.

any release yet??
Yes. The hack was released and posted everywhere on the Internets. Then, for some unknown mystical reason, it disappeared from the Internets and left no trace that it had ever been released in the first place. If only you'd got here 5 minutes earlier, you'd have been playing all your ill-gotten ROMs right now!

I would use the Nintendo Shop to buy my games and store them on SD which I have done so far for the free game with my XL and for Super Mario 3D land but all my other games are physical copies.
In the UK, the Nintendo pricing department is a bit silly and decided if it costs $40 dollars in NA it should cost £40 in the UK and so shop prices are a 30-40% markup to amazon prices. It would be great if I could keep all the physical copies I buy for cheaper on my SD so I don't have to carry around a damned stack of games that can be lost easily as proven by my little sister who has already lost 2 games :S

All in all, quite good news and I hope Neimod and the others manage to work through their issues and release it when its ready for the public!

Don't worry about it. I would recommend following this thread. Since it is updated when something happens.

Yes, I do charge for jailbreaking iPhones. Because people around me aren't that bright, and are too lazy to figure it out themselves. So they always OFFER to pay me for such a task. If they don't have cash, I charge them in food or Coffee. Calm the fuck down, you act like this is the end of the world. I know alot of people that charge for these things, it's fairly commonplace to offer such services. I still have people asking me to hack their Wii, offering me cash to do so. I just do it, they usually drop me a $10 or $20, and we're all good. They don't mind that I have to download and prep everything, and then execute the hacks. They simply don't want to take the time to do so, and it's a quick buck for me.

Alright, sorry man, lol, as long as you don't pull a "It'll cost 50 bucks" scenario. Hate people who overcharge. Yeah, people are lazy, I just tell them to google it. Heck, I've been offered money, and Ireject it most of the time But otherwise, no leaks. It won't make anything better, and probably worse.

I say No to piracy but yes to an option to dump and 'verify' game dumps similar to devolution to curb piracy.
Ill buy my games, but two copies for multiplayer in most games? I'm not Rockerfeller.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.
  • Veho @ Veho:
There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
Veho @ Veho: Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages...
