Oh btw In future could we have separate pre announcement thread and one after announcement? This thread is going to be hella confusing for people who find it in future. Perhaps OP could add a link to where discussion picks up after the announcement in the original post.

Any idea on how this might work with already decrypted games, like adding the license to those games to re-encrypt them so you won't have to redownload games you already found online?
I have no idea.

My guess would be it wouldn't work properly, since the games are already decrypted, so people would likely need to redownload and redump games.

Would unpacked, extracted PKGs (using st4rk's PKGDecrypt program) work with this? Maybe I am asking this question a tad too early...

That would probably be more likely, I would imagine we could even just use PKGs themselves, install them with PKGInstaller, and then have this plugin generate a license that'd work for the games.

kinda torn with this, it's really good we finally be having proper dumps.
But being still encrypted form means no eboot modifications, game mods or translations for that type dump?
That makes me think that there will still be a need to use vitamin 2.0 and maidumptool.

-*Names the thread Vitamin 3.0 anyway"
Stuff like this is why theflow0 blocks us

was this the Flows Big New Thing >?< after all the hype its another dump tool meh..........
This is pretty big news. Games pre firmware 3.60 that have issues being dumped will no longer have those issues so that means more games for people to play if people are willing to upload them and/or redump their current games. Plus no more having to worry about not having the updates to go along with the games.

Only issue is being able to get dlc to dump now since no psn support on firmware 3.60 anymore.

there is a reason why i am not looking forward for this release
in the past sony didn't care that much, nut now there is fake license generator,so now there will be bigger chance sony will ban us.

i know it's not confirm or anything, but it's also possible.

I second this as a big step/news. Was kinda hoping something like this would surface. This will be handy for the Sd2vita Plus adapter that I pre-ordered today.

*snip*

Seriously? having a specific device to share games online is a better idea than having a plugin and just copy/paste the content of the game on a memory card!!!

Imho, it is a great news, no more bad dump, online update, ... the only things missing is a B9s equivalent and 3.60+ support

Usually when such a big title leaks the Temp will be the first to report about it (going off of historical reports here, Pokemon SV being the latest one I can recall seeing pop up here)

I still like how a freaking mp3 file hacks webos all that security defeated by text yet again

They have simulators for everything nowdays, cray cray. How about a sim that shows you playing the Switch.

I want a 120hz 4k tv but crazy how more expensive the 120hz over the 60hz are. Or even more crazy is the price of 8k's.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
No real point since movies are 30fps
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Not a big movie buff, more of a gamer tbh. And Series X is 120hz 8k ready, but yea only 120hz 4k games out right now, but thinking of in the future.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Mostly why you never see TV manufacturers going post 60hz
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I only watch tv when i goto bed, it puts me to sleep, and I have a nas drive filled w my fav shows so i can watch them in order, commercial free. I usually watch Married w Children, or South Park
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Stremio ruined my need for nas
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I stream from Nas to firestick, one on every tv, and use Kodi. I'm happy w it, plays everything. (I pirate/torrent shows/movies on pc, and put on nas)
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
oh you mean the 3rd party apps on Kodi, yea i know what you mean, yea there are still a few cool ones, in fact watched the new planet of the apes movie other night w wifey thru one, was good pic surprisingly, not a cam
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Damn, only $2.06 and free shipping. Gotta cost more for them to ship than $2.06
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
That's where stremio comes to play never got a letter about it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just use a VPN, even give him my login and password so can use it also, and he refuses, he's funny.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I had to find and get him an old style flip phone even without text, cause thats what he wanted. No text, no internet, only phone calls. Old, old school.
    K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2: @BigOnYa...
