Now, most of you who've played Persona 4 should know this song well. However, I decided to analyze the lyrics, because when you get the lyrics you appreciate the song more (Mainly because those of you who have played P4/3 will know that Shihoko Hirata doesn't have the best English, so her songs tend to be in slight Engrish):
Can't get my mind out of those memories
Now I'm trying to tell them, "Don't take my dream."
Still the music keeps on turning me from the words that hurt my soul,
Removing them from my mind.
Those long days passing by from the door
Like late Summer they slowly fade away.
Find your way through the favorite tunes playing all day in my soul
(Repeat 2):
Find your way through the favorite tunes filling me with love sounds
(Note, I didn't look that up, so the lyrics may be a little off)
This song is completely about Nanako. The first two lines are referring to her dead mother who she lost at a young age, and her fleeting memories of her mother that she tries not to forget.
The third, fourth, and the seventh and eight lines refer to the Junes theme, and how she would listen to it since it reminded her of the days of her childhood when she, her father, and her mother would all go together. It soothes her, and that's why she loves it so much. It also helps to soothe her lonliness and anguish from being alone.
The fifth and sixth lines refer to her father never being there, always having to work and never having time for her. This goes back to how she would listen to Junes to soothe the pain.
This also helps to explain the MC's significance to her. She has no one, and the MC is nurturing her. Despite calling him "Big Brother", he is more like a mother to her than anything. He goes to Junes with her, he spends time with her, he loves her, and he stands up for her when Ryotaro gets angry. He is basically the light in the darkness of her life.
