When I put my SDCard with the Micro SD into my 3DS and click it, a screen saying "Please update hardware to support latest firmware." appears.
Today, I formatted the MicroSD and re-downloaded/copied the files onto the card. I'm not sure if I have all of the files that are needed though. Anyway, the same message appears. Also, if this helps, like last month or so, I updated my 3DS to Ver. 3.0.0-6.

Hopefully these images can help you out in helping me:
http://tiny.cc/m4aod -- The message that I see
http://tiny.cc/kwkut -- The cards I have
http://tiny.cc/9cemq -- The files on the MicroSD

Thanks!

is you flash card updated to the LAST fw(NOT the FW file on teh SD card)
but the FW in the Flasf card it self

you may need a DS/DSL the can use the card so you can run the update to make it 3.0.0-6 ready

I don't think it is and I'm not exactly sure how to do it.
I have a DS Lite but I'm not sure if I can do the update using the DS Lite.

Gotta do it again then, apparenty you did something wrong. Alternatively try out another firmware rather than the standard kernel, for example WOOD.

you need to run the 3DS v3.0.06 and DSI V1.4.3 Upgrade Firmware file

on your ds/dslite

till you do that
the card will NOT work on your 3ds
Very well, I'll try it out.

I followed all of the steps so I don't think I did. I'l try again first.

Dude, those .rar files are archives. Yeah, you're missing two files. The "blah-bla-ba-Upgrade-Firmware" archive has files inside of it, but you need a program called "7 zip" to "extract" them. Inside you will find two files (one is a .bin file and the other is a .nds file) and both go on the root of your micro SDHC card. Then you will be able to update your flash card. :)

By the way, to run the update you need to highlight the "R4iSDHC_Updater.nds file" and press the "A" button. Do not mess with the power until it says successful. Once it does you can press the "Power" button. Put your flashcard inside of your 3DS and it should work, if everything went correctly. If successful, delete the two files that we extracted from the "blah-bla-ba-Upgrade-Firmware" file from the first step, you no longer need them. :D

Take the "R4i...English.rar" off your micro sd card as it is unneeded. :)
Ah, I see. I deleted it so hopefully it works.

Yeah you're missing one file. In the 3.0.0.6 upgrade file you get two files and both go on the root of your micro SDHC card.

S***, really? I didn't know. I'm new at this stuff Dx
Thanks, I'll do that right away :D

I was just about to post xD
Well I got everything, I'm just doing the updating part that you told me to. Thing is, I can't find the file. There's gibberish all over the bottom screen so I can't really see anything. Would you like a picture?

Edit: I think I might've done something wrong, I'm not sure.
I'll screenie the files and take a picture of the DS screen, hold on.

OK you have two operating systems going on and unneeded files, SO.....
1ST format memory card
2nd Download Just the R4isdhc_silver v1.25 firmware and extract it using 7 zip to your freshly formatted memory card
3rd Download the 3.0.0.6 upgrade file and extract it to the memory card also
4th follow my instruction above about how to execute the upgrade.

There should be NO file that has .rar at the end of it on your micro sd card before you try to update the R4isdhc card

I'd like to find a power strip and HDMI selector built in 1 unit, so I can select which game system I want, and will switch to that hdmi, and power on that plug/power supply only, so don't have all game systems powered all the time, but can't find anything like. May just have to make something myself.

@Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.

Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

  • impeeza @ impeeza:
@Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.
