i keep hearing all this hype for pokemon on switch but has there actually been an announcement?
i dont even think their will be a pokemon on switch, not in the traditional formula anyway. And not for at least a few years

When I first started playing the Pokemon games, I really liked it, but then I dropped out as I now find turn-based battles to be too boring/tedious. It probably won't happen, but I'd like to see it have more action and be a lot more like Pokken Tournament.
I don't think a real-time battle system can work for Pokemon tbh. It'd involve having to simplify move usage and get rid of many moves, items, etc. Even if they made the requisite mechanical cuts to make the transition, they'd still have to ensure that every Pokemon has the animations and fine-tuned mechanics to be fun to use. There's a reason Pokken doesn't incllude every single Pokemon. It takes a long time to create just one Pokken fighter and balance it. Doing so for almost 1,000 Pokemon would be incredibly impractical. There's no possible way they'd cut Pokemon from the main-series roster ever, so a real-time system similar to Pokken is mostly out of the question.Same here ,once you start real time battles there is no coming back to turn base games
yeah sun and moon were the worst pokemon generation ever, srs everyone was praising finaly no more 8 gyms and such, and then we got the worst games in the series, x and y were preety fun even if they werent diferent i would take 10 games like x and y over any more gen using pokemon sun and moon playwise and storywise really. My expectations are pretty low. After Sun/Moon my interest on Pokémon franchise is near to zero. I'm more interested about Shin Megami Tensei V. Plus, I think GameFreak will do a bad job again and the game will struggle to run on Switch hardware, like what happened on 3DS era.
