If you plan to use with PS5, stay away from any PSVR listings where the serial is exposed for all to see. This serial is needed for get the free camera adapter for PS5 to use the PS4 camera since the PS5 one does not work for PSVR.
problem is nearly all the listings on eBay right now current, completed, or broken with the serial present have had their codes stolen and redeemed by scalpers to sell for large sums of money per cable.
To test this theory, I ran 40, yes 40 serials via the redemption site sourced for listings and some random ones in Google images and all of them were redeemed. This means that you have to convince Sony to send you a cable anyway since the website has that serial marked as already used for a free cable.
