I'm trying to set up RetroArch Switch to run PSX games optimally. What settings should I change exactly? Is there a known exact setup I could perform? I've heard bios files need to be put somewhere for the thing to work properly?

Bios files go in retroarch\cores\system, look for the PSP bios as it's the most optimized for speed (the one listed as PSXONPSP660.bin in the link @bad361 posted above.)
Aside from the obvious like frame skip, the settings under Latency also affect performance. Which settings might improve speed is pretty clearly labelled overall.

I'd be interested in some settings people use. While I have 60fps in games sometimes the scrolling looks slightly 'jerky' and not silky smooth. What am I not considering?

Honestly I always got rather poor performance with pcsx-rearmed on the switch, if your willing to try though, I get full speed psx on lakka switch with vulkan renderer and duckstation/swanstation. Its the same interface just running linux instead of hos to launch it.

HOS RA handles psx easily. I've never had any problems. Some games require 1.2-1.5 oc tho. But generally, yes, lakka/android has better psx performance overall + possibility to enhance internal res.

Eh, I'd get graphical glitches and audio stuttering in pcsx-rearmed (grandia & valkyrie profile) but work fine on lakka but yeah most games probably work decently with hos/retroarch... still I don't need to overclock at all on lakka so I can get longer game time in that respect.

There is no Tank Force 3 im guessing your saying Tank Force (4 player us) from Namco, it is cloned and you need is patient rom Tank Force (2 player us) to play cloned 4 player.

Hey Guys what happened to the PSP Core, it is somehow missing since 1.9.0 or so.
The old Core give's me only a Black Screen with Sound but no Video Output.
Do we have to use the Stand Alone Version of PPSSPP?

Just saw this

So apparently the next release of RetroArch will have AMD FSR support, does this mean that we can run games at a lower specs, resolution, etc without jeopardizing the image quality?
So like if you have a low power system you could set the game to a lower spec to gain more FPS but at the same time the game will look like as if you were running it at a higher spec? Taking this into consideration does this mean that now we can run games on the switch that were previously unplayable due to the horrible performance because of the lackluster Switch hardware? I know that the Switch is powered by NVIDIA but AFAIK AMD FSR is open source and can also be used with NVIDIA hardware.
