Scene dev Zecoxao teases new $3 modchip for the OLED Nintendo Switch, involves a Raspberry Pi

Scene developer Zecoxao might be known for their contributions to the PlayStation hacking world, but this time around, they've got something major for the Nintendo scene. The longtime scener teased the existence of what they claim to be a $3 modchip for the Nintendo Switch, and which is said to work with Mariko and OLED systems, though not patched Erista consoles. A teaser video was also uploaded, where the modchip itself was revealed to be a Raspberry Pi--specifically, a RP2040 Zero unit, soldered into the Switch board, demonstrating Hekate launching on an OLED unit.

Given the tease of "coming soon", we can expect to see more details about the exploit eventually.

Just got a Splatoon OLED not too long ago so this would be welcome, however it gets out once all the issues are dealt with and reviews come out. Never looking to be on the frontline since risking a shiny new Switch isn't my plan.

about the drama, every scene has drama, but it's much more in your face with playstation scenes. I assume playstation scenes have more children or teenagers than the xbox or the switch scenes, and in this age of stuff being immediate , it results in people being impatient. the reason many devs leave is that they're not respected, at least not in a scene mostly full of spoiled brats. that's my two cents.

Yea PlayStation scene is wild, it’s important to note the changes that have happened with many companies now on HackerOne, devs are like the rest of us, gotta eat.
I agree. who's going to turn down $10-50,000 dollars if you have the skills? especially for a scene that only respects uploaders, because there you've got your free games. I never see uploads or modders give any credit to anyone, such as the apps they used in the process. I've never done that. I always give total credit to others.

To those saying that there’s a chance for a DMCA, you are correct to assume that might happen. But even if it does, the knowledge of how this works is out there and someone else will pick it up. There’s always going to be leaks, “leaks,“ or someone else who figures this shit out. Once information is out there, it’s damn near impossible to remove it.

If the mod required is somewhat similar to the Picoboot method for the GC then this will be easy peasy.
Tighter space. Installing this may require more time and patience.
