Wouldn't it be possible to have everything in a archive (modmii and all the other files) so the setup won't need a internet connection?

Look inside the support folder for modmii.bat and modmiiskin.bat (open in notepad++ or any other text editor), also, code is uploaded to source forge repository

Some/most apps can't be bundled due to copyright reasons

Edit: If you have modmii download all files, it will save the files in its temp folder so you won't need the internet next time. Essentially files don't need to be downloaded twice

ModMii's source is on SourceForge. It's a Windows batch file. :)

A the IOSes are copyrighted so it wouldn't be legal to include them. They're downloaded directly from Nintendo's servers.

Hello,
Today I modded my Wii using setMiiUp. I followed the istructions and installed only the suggested software (like I didn't installed hackMii). I need to ask a few question:

How can I play games from a usb drive?
How can I insert gecko cheat codes?
Can I play GC games?
Can I play games i've burned?

thanks.

I dont mind, just as long as you continue to give credit in big flashing letters, all good, lol.

BTW, modmii accepts command line arguments in case you haven't already figured that out. If you launch it with any argument from a cmd window it will display the help/usage instructions. That's basically how modmii skin works, its just a Gui front end for modmii classic, and skin sends cmd line args to classic to get the work done. Check it out, it may help you out with whatever it is you're working on.

You are on the credit since v0.01 on the credits section from SetMiiUp.

Currently, i removed the menu and the i agree, since its stated on the launch of SetMiiUp, it opens and just gives the warning for 5 seconds, then it ask for a sysCheck.cvs in order to drop it down.

Ill try to see if i can implement it on a gui so the pop up does not appear and triggers inside a WinForm.

What Is This

SetMiiUp, its basically an AIO tool, to go from Stock to Softmod in easily 10 minutes or less, depends on your connection speed.

But why?

[*]As easy as this sounds, everyday there are MANY newbies getting a New Wii, or a pre-softmod Wii with a very outdated setup, so this will basically make it up to date ;D.

What can I accomplish with this? / Do i really need it? / Can i use it?

Whit this you can accomplish several things, depending where do you start, as example:

Starting From Stock

If you start from a Stock wii, you will have the ability to play backups, virtual console games, install wads, themes and so on at the end of the tutorial, you just need internet for this. as this will download the required files, it will install HBC, and install the needed ios, also update the old revision ios you got in your system.

From an Incomplete Softmod

This will verify what you do need, using SysCheck.csv and generate an unique list of files using ModMii by xFlak according to your needs.

A Very Old Softmod

By using ModMii by xFLak, this will detect your system settings and ios revisions, which you can put here, or drag and drop them into ModMii to update your softmod without risk of bricking.

This app is totally reliant upon modmii, and modmii only works on windows. Although I recall some folks having success using wine or some equivalent. You could always install a virtual machine, or a windows dual boot partition. Or borrow someone else's pc just to mod your wii, not like you will need to update it often, or ever.

Remember that this app does include WilBrand + WilbrandLauncher.

Need a help here.
I've decide to turn on my Wii after 5 years. It's working, but running 4.3U Wan (must be Waninkoko... I guess). No HomeBrew Channel or other apps.

So I got Wii's MAC address, Created the MailboxBomb with Options: "U - American", 4.3, Include HackMii, Installed directly into SD Card. Exploit Generated.

Found MailbombBox on Wii Messages, but I got a Black Screen after run. Any Ideas?

I am desperately trying to mod my Wii. Well one of the anyway. I have downloaded your software, and following the included guide have ran into a brick wall.
The ONLY thing that is giving g me any trouble is the " generate exploit " portion. After formating a SD card and downloading SetMiiup I cannot get the exploit to download. I keep getting an error message about access to the file.....
Is there anywhere else I could download the exploit? I have already Downloaded the ret of everything I will need except for the letterbomb. Please help.
P.S. Great job! Easy to follow guide foolproof GUI. This is an awesome little piece of software. Thanx for releasing it like this.
I can be include a pic ( sadly not a screen shot ) of the warning but it's a general failure warnig.
It says an unexpected error occurred on a send. Error downloading 'wiibrand.exe' from github/giantpune/mailboxbomb/raw/ master/Wiibrand.exr

I really hope it is something so simple.
I even typed the address in directly in two seperate browsers and got the github 404/ file not found error.
