Gaming Should I play Bowser Inside Story before Dream Team?

I will buy Mario & Luigi DT, but I do not if I will get lost following the story if I dint play BIS since it is an rpg. I played the the first two games in the series, but never the third. I seen some pictures of BIS and I saw that some characters look similar to those that appear in DT.

Story is pretty much unrelated, but you should play Bowser's Inside Story anyway because it's just awesome. Not a prerequisite though.

In all seriousness, there's little to no continuity in terms of storyline in the Mario and Luigi series. Don't worry about it.

The two games are the most related, mechanic wise and feeling. SSS and PiT feel different. Non are really need to be played in any order.
