n64 emulator on old 3ds make it happen.
Literally impossible. N3DS is possible but it will probably never be able to go above 30 FPS, if it can even reach that, if someone does take their precious free time during the day and does it, which is already unlikely as most of us have lives, jobs, etc.

Tried the English patched version of Seiken Densetsu 3 on my old 3ds and the title screen was garbled. I couldn’t get past it, any button press would reset the game. Is this an emulator issue or my rom? Secret of mana worked fine for me.

Could you please upload a picture for us all? SNES9x 3DS has an option to make Screenshots.

Great work with the emulator. Probably the best one on 3DS.
Small request of mine: Customizable cheat path. Would love to share the same cheats path as other emulators and have the cheats in folders like retroarch does it.

I understand that MSU-1 support won´t happen on the 3DS. From a technical Point of View, is the difficulty of MSU-1 Chip Emulation comparable to the SA-1 Chip or even higher?

@bubble2k16
I have missing audio troubles when I am playing Earthworm Jim 2 with snes9x last release.
That can be checked easily when game is starting on main title when Jim is playing accordeon, or in game when he is shooting with particular guns or when Jim is using Snott after we press "B" button after jumping. We don't hear also "Groovy" when he is taking a life in a level.
I didn't get this issue with first Earthworm Jim.
Is it possible to have a look to this issue ?

I read that it might be due to the way EJ2 streams audio data. Now, the "old" 3DS version of this Snes9x port changes the way sound is emulated, so it may not be able to handle EJ2's sound well.

But I probably won't have the time to look into this now. :)

@bubble2k16 could you please tell me, how difficult it is to implement the MSU-1 Support from a range from 1-10? I´m rather curious how demanding it is. A short answer please. :O

Hmm... I'm not too sure. If the codes are already available for Snes9x, I suppose it wouldn't be too difficult.

I won't be trying this personally, but I welcome any devs to do a pull request to implement this. :)

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
