Recently on the github site there are notes from version 4.3.8 but there is not the download link, does anyone have that version?

There's already been a new release posted above, we just want to know what changes were made, there's no change log

Edit: Derp ><

https://github.com/dborth/snes9xgx/commit/b27ac565d5bfed6351a9c0af4cda6d524edab499
the release above is just a copy or fork of dborths. dborth is tantric and tantric is the original dev of snes9xgx, vbagx, fceugx.
this is bladeoners - https://github.com/bladeoner/snes9xgx
and this is dborths - https://github.com/dborth/snes9xgx

compare the recent commits. no difference.
edit: credit does go to bladeoner for the msu1 fixes.

Github user bladeoner uploaded a link for a new version labeled Snes9x GX 4.4.1. Not much is known from the changes appart from some sound fixes.

Thank you! I will do the tests to see what differences there are with version 4.3.7.

If you're going to make tests, would it be too much to ask you to see if the new release works properly with Tengai Makyou Zero translated?

Burnt Lasagna did a modification to Snes9x GX to be able to load it properly, and it being a unofficial upgrade, maybe it wasn't incorporated.

I will wait for an official update from dborths before uploading a build here again.

I did a quick test with Zelda to link to the past and I noticed "sound crackling" very frequently (in version 4.4.1)
In version 4.3.7 it happens also but much less frequently, it is the only serious problem that I find of the emulator, if it was fixed, it would be perfect.
I'm aware of the "retroarch" alternative but anyway it would be better if snes9x gx is perfect.

Yeah me too, i can't compile files in general so it would be great if somebody can compile the 4.3.8 version with the new fixes into a .DOL :)

Maybe you can ask FIX94 to do it. Maybe he can add gamepad support to it as well. :ninja:

after hours of debugging vbagx I now managed to get that one up as well so now fceugx, snes9xgx and vbagx have builds that can use the wiiu gamepad.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.
