I downloaded Gran Turismo 6 and wanted to put it on a USB to transfer to my PS3, but there was a file that was too big for the USB to handle. How can i split this file? (it was not an ISO, rather a Game / PS3_Game / USRDIR
IIRC there are 2 ways, one is extract the big file (it's a container) the console will read the extracted files just fine
second way, there was a way to split the big file, and you needed to copy it into your internal hdd which multiman would join back togueter the files
this is all i remember, wait until someone can give you more details
You could always try formatting the USB drive to NTFS and using IRISMAN's file manager (which supports NTFS filesystems) to transfer over the game to the HDD. I have done this many times with my >4GB PS2 ISO files and it works perfectly without any hassle at all.
USBs formatted to NTFS can handle files larger than 4GB, so it's worth a try.
If i format the USB to NTFS, can i also still play games from the USB? (without transferring to the PS3 first, like i can now?)
