Square Enix quietly announces new Tomb Raider game

In...a unique way of making a reveal, the official Tomb Raider Twitter account has uploaded a picture with text in it, announcing that a new Tomb Raider adventure is on the way. The text states that the official reveal will come soon, with a "major event" in 2018, though not much else was explained. This reveal comes after yesterday's PC release of Tomb Raider: Blood Ties, a VR standalone DLC for 2015's Rise of the Tomb Raider.

What an odd non-announcement. Personally, I would have preferred if they just waited until they actually announced the next game.

Looks like that's the name for sure. The first letter of each sentence in the text announcement is S H A D O W. Haha.

    @SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that

    I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
