Gaming Streaming English Patched Games?

Is it safe to steam a Japanese game with an English patch? Or do you have to stream the Japanese unpatched version?

it is a gray area

i seen streams on twitch of people playing English patched games (they might be using reproduction cartridges with patchs applied, some have use emulation as well)

as long as you OWN the game then it should be fine

I remember something like that. As long as you have the game which I do, you can have a ROM image and do what you want with the ROM, such as emulate that rom instead of the cartridge?
