Guys,I heard that the Homebrew Community for the PS Vita is growing big nowdays and I got some nice suggestions for more Homebrew Game Ports so that it can be on the PS Vita, here are my suggestions:

1.Waifu Uncovered (Steam Version)
2.Gangstar:West Coast Hustle (Android Version)
3.Gangstar:Miami Vindication (Android Version)
4.Call of Duty:Black Ops Zombies (Android Version)
5.Bioshock (IOS Version)
6.Killzone (PS2 Version)
7.Pac-Man Kart Rally (Android Version)
8.Logan Kart 8 (Browser Version)
9.Adventure of Ted 2 (Android Version)
10.Scratchin Melodi (PC Version)
11.Modern Combat 1 to 4 (Android Versions)
12.Gangstar Vegas (Android Version)
13.Gangstar New Orleans (Android Version)
14.Gangstar Rio:City of Saints (Android Version)
15.Dan The Man (Android Version)

Note:In order to make the data files for the IOS version of the game Bioshock, you will need to extract the game's IPA File so that it can act as the data files for the game)

1. ...why for christ sake?
2. No thoughts other than its a GTA clone.
3. Same as 2.
4. Already on the Vita Android Port list.
5. Its IOS not Android so it probably won't happen. (Unless someone is willing to prove me wrong)
6. Killzone Mercenary already exist.
7. Pac Man World Rally already exist.
8. My Ex-Wife already exist...
9. No comment.
10. No just because you suggested Waifu Uncovered.

So many things. Off the top of my head:

Games:
  • Adventures of Pip (PS4)
  • Final Fantasy 6 (Android)
  • Tap Tap Builder (Android)

Apps:
  • Baraag*
  • Chrome Browser
  • DeviantArt
  • DOSBOX
  • Every Fast Food Loyalty / Rewards App (Don't App-Shame Me Bro)*
  • Github* for VPK downloads
  • Handbrake for video conversion
  • Node.js
  • PNGOUT for PNG image compression
  • Python
  • Reddit*
  • Pixiv*
*: Websites, etc that don't work on Vita

MIsc Ideas:
  • A scripting language to handle file operations, such as 'Copy all those randomly named folders from ux0:/pictures and put the files in 1 place elsewhere without the folders', etc.
  • Duplicate File finding tool
  • Tool to convert saves from Playstation Classic RetroArch (PPSSPP) to Adrenaline
  • Tool to convert ISO to CHD (Like how Apollo Save Tool can convert ISO to CSO. RetroArch's PS1 core supports CHD).
  • An Mp3 player that features playlists
  • A video player that features looping

If possible and easy, Carmageddon from android.

I love to test and play any ports we get, though.
Problem is I have no more storage.

@ XFoxPrower :
DOSBOX is on RetroArch stable 1.17.0 vita 03.02.2024, it has 2 cores SVN and Pure plus controller layout, mount install iso also possible. its mostly working fine up to 286 dos system. but it make lot of problems and has bugs and errors. many older games under 1992 like wolf3d works fine or the ultima series, keen etc... windows 3.1 also working on vita.
I have a topic here somewhere with test results with the game Corridor 7 dos.

it need a stand alone port, to raise up the cycle speed and more performance plus fixing bugs. the controller layout plus install mounting iso is amazing.

Tool to convert ISO to CHD = use google its long out there

It is not possible to port PS4 or PS3 games... or PS2 games unless said games got Android or PC versions with low enough hardware requirements.

Freeware or shareware games are preferred as that avoids legal trouble.

That being said:

https://mslivo.itch.io/sandtrix can be downloaded for free and would be nice if it got a Vita port.

A classic tetris port/clone with sound and different music themes would be nice.

Frozen Bubble is still free, so why not Vita port?

The now freeware Jetpack game for Dos would be fun:

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

  • Jayro @ Jayro:
The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

  • Veho @ Veho:
    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

i think only the red mario kart edition phat was v5
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
