Nothing is guaranteed, the numbers are just a general reference what is likely. So I'd say XAW100069 is pretty likely 1.0.0.

Yeh looks like a 2.2, but you can't be sure that it was never opened. The Switch boxing does not have any seals or things like that. It also could be a refurbished one, tho unlikely.

Could be. Still there is pretty high chance they are on 3.0.0. And even if not, you could play Mario Oddysey (make sure you check the serial on cart, there are new revisions!) till the CFW.

I have my girlfriends odyssey switch for playing, so that’s not the problem :-) The problem was, I sold my 1.0.0 switch back in summer 2017 for some reason and now I just want to find another console with 3.0.0

I called to the stores and asked them if they have serials below ones that are probably on 3.0.0 or lower. 3 out of 6 stores told me they have, one had newer and two didn't tell me.

To be precise: I asked them to tell me XAJ4xxxxx or XAJ7xxxxx not whole serial. I bought from the one that told me they have XAJ400136. I checked at it could be either 2.2.0 or 2.3.0. So I asked them to send this exact one, I bought it online.
