Hello brothers.
I'm starting a translation project, I'm not new, but not a veteran.
The inconvenience that stops me is about the dialogues, not because they are in Japanese * which is translated in an understandable way *.
what happens is that when opening the iso and looking for the dialog file I found that install.dat is the closest to the dialogs because it is the heaviest * or that it can contain * I don't know the answer.
In my search of about 3 days I did not find how to decrypt it so I request help from someone more trained in hacking, who is willing to help in this new project, I have several hours a day to translate many lines, I just need help to find how to open it and take out the lines, or I can do it with a hex_ editor
The hex editors that I have used with shift jp do not give me confidence or do not use it well in the search for Japanese, for example I extracted these lines from the game that is the first conversation of asuna with kirito, using google I found them
the problem is that in the hex * 010 editor, cristall2 etc, when looking for part of the word in Japanese I DON'T FIND IT IN THE .BIN NI FILES in DAT so I stay as .----.
What am I doing wrong I wonder. I hope your help, I already have my 2 machines ready with everything to translate.

Hola hermanos.

Hi, usually these forums all the posts are in proper english, but as first and only answer I will do it in spanish.

Ps: Sorry if it wasnt allowed to talk in Spanish, feel free to retranslate or edit this comment mods.

Thanks.

well thank you very much, I will review on the tables, some link that facilitates the most common SJIS tables to double byte.

Hello brothers from the community.
After 2 days of arduous research in non-Hispanic forums - which is the language to which to translate this - I was finally able to do it, I managed to extract the files from install.dat it seems CPK was its encryption and already extracted more than 1500 files in which I hope that the hex reader already finds the texts to start editing.
