At about 7:21 EST, I heard this HUGE bang and there it was, lightning.
I literally SAW it strike my backyard!
I almost fainted from it!

Lightning once struck approximately two meters away from the boat (looked pretty much like this one except older, from some time before WWII) I was in, causing the engine to go out. We got the engine started again after a few minutes, in that time we had drifted towards the nearest island and would have hit it in less than a minute if the engine wouldn't have started again.

Bool story co etc, but it happened.
