i installed first ferrox cfw, it activates even on ps3 reboot right?? or do i have to activat it somehow??
Try recovery. Hold power button when ps3 is off till it beeps multiple times then install modified rebug without QA toggle through recovery. See if that works.

You're fine, you can update straight to rebug.
Plus, he disappeared into the shadows  *naruto runs*
oh you can.

He/she can just update without recovery. They can do it straight through the update setting.

so the qa toggle guide is pointless then.

I believe it's supposed to be used after the Ferrox update before going to rebug, but I never did it and worked just fine. If @Frostbite189 wants to be safe, they can toggle it again before updating to rebug.

I think the QA guide was written before they created the modified version of rebug.

If you try to install the non modified one then you get an error message without QA.

Is there any functional advantage to using REBUG over Ferrox? Looking at the feature sets for both they seem pretty similar.

That would make sense, but all that matters is... I GOT CFW IN THE END! jk lolz

but uh...... yea. Let's see how things unfold if they reply back.

Both are similar really. Rebug has a little more control than Ferrox with it's toolbox option and is just known to be a more "stable" CFW than most others.
Maybe someone else can provide more info on the technicality differences between the two for ya!

lucky me i have a ranch full of goats lol, one question, can i play ps2 from discs?? or just iso??
Just Iso's.

If your PS3 is compatible with discs then you can. If not then no.
You need space in your internal hdd as ps2 games first needs to install to it using multiman.
Ps1 can run off of external.
