yes sometimes (2 time in my Firefox life) , i lost everything (i think its a bug with the progile manager)

Just rename on of those auto backups to bookmarks.html and move it into the [Jumble of characters] folder.

yeah this is quite a common bug with Firefox. but its recoverable if you do it quick enough

I have had that once with Firefox to, I was really mad when that happened
Some people would Jump off a building because of that(lol), Firefox should fix it
Actually after that happened I used first safari for windows which was just released it was twice faster, some pages where displayed better. but sometimes Safari just cut of my messages so I went back to firefox

You should use an extension to hold your bookmarks. That way you can access them anywhere.
Personally, I use Del.Ici.Ous

Firefox does a nice job of export and import bookmarks..

I've never heard of this problem nor have I experienced it, and I've been using Firefox for well over a year now.

Are you using the FF3 beta?

I've only had this problem once when Windows had a major crash, so it wasn't even Firefox's fault. And even if it does happen it's easy enough to recover, a quick google search will tell you that.

I use a google add-on that keeps my favorites and history online.. so I can have my favorites on any PC that I use..
