Hello, i want to play xenoblade chronicles for original wii but dont have classic controller

I know you can use gamepad if you use eshop version or if you inject it as wii vc but i would really like to use my wii u pro controller instade of gamepad so my question is:

1. Is it possible to use wii u pro controller as classic controller in vwii using usb loader gx

2. is it possible to use wii u pro controller instade of gamepad if i inject wii games as eshop wii virtual console

You may be able to use the Pro Controller in the usb loader (if it was programmed to support it), but Xenoblade itself definitely wasn't

If you really like its shape, buy a 3rd party controller that looks like the Pro but actually simulates a Wiimote+Classic (those "Pro controllers with SNES shape inside, and pointer window at top" ones are usually of this type)

Its not because of shape, its because xenoblade on original wii has easire camera controls when using classic controller thats why i want to use pro controller

Xenoblade on original wii supported classic controller and i still have original disc so when i try to play original disk in virtual wii on wii u i can only use wiimote and nunchuk (game does support classic controller but i dont have one)

I have also bought xenoblade chronicles from eshop as well hoping i might be able to use pro controller and on eshop version gamepad acts as classic controller so its playable using gamepad but is there really no way to just use wii u pro controller (at least instade of gamepad for eshop version)?

Nope, there's no way. You can use it in supported homebrew though, like Nintendont.

Yeah, and those I recommended are Wii classic controllers, just in the shape of a WiiU Pro one

Enhanced Vwii games (whether from eShop or injections; they are the same as far as the console with CFW knows) allows (optionally) to use the gamepad buttons as an emulated Classic controller or (limited) Wiimote; note that the gamepad is a wifi controller, and WiiU software emulates those Bluetooth controllers -

The Pro controller is already a Bluetooth controller, and the WiiU does no attempt at converting its data to some different controller

Wii software supports only the controllers their developers have compiled in the software itself (and for both Wii discs and Wii software sold digitally, there is clear labeling you can see before buying of what controllers are supported)

For now i need classic controller for only this one game so i dont plan to spend too much on it (i do plan to get one brand new original for collection sake eventualy)

How good are those cheap ones from ebay because for now i only need temporary solution, i have seen classic controllers and classic pro controllers for as low as 10$ on ebay, are those good enough to get me trough at least xenoblade without much issues?

I think you can use the GameCube / WII injection tool for this... Just change the settings before you make the game WUP format... to use the controller obviously choosing the right settings 1st... It works fine with my 3rd party cheap wii u pad I got from Amazon $20.. Some other titles work this way I. E Mario kart... Resident Evil 4 and Sonic Colors.. Any game you can use the classic controller on old wii games... Will work with the wii U gamepad with built-in screen... Too

Make sure it's actually working as a classic controller: the kind with switches on the bottom is the one you want, like this one https://www.fasttech.com/product/1501407-classic-wireless-gamepad-controller-pro-u-for-wii
It's a 3rd party controller, the build quality is certainly inferior to Nintendo's but it's playable fine

There are better known brands of wireless classic controllers (Datel Retro Wireless Controller, Nyko Wing) but those are probably long discontinued and hard to find

If you are fine with a Wiimote on the nearest bed/chair/table/pocket and a cable to it, yes, an actual Classic controller (or clone) are absolutely fine too

Thanks for the info, i already have both original wii disc and wii u eshop version (eshop version is as far as i know same as injected just legit released by nintendo) and eshop version works fine with gamepad just not the pro controller (official one for wii u)

I am fine with wiimote sitting on my bed while i play with classic controller

I defenitly want to buy original official pro controller brand new soon but for now i will probably just order clone from ebay until i get real official classic controller (its probably possible to find it some factory sealed official nintendo classic controllers floating on ebay, last year i got original official PS2 controller factory sealed on ebay for like 60€)

@Ryccardo
I did hear that those controllers are cheap and the D-Pad is awkward, is that true? Since I was holding up to buy one of those

I don't have one (yet), a friend of mine bought a similiar design in early 2017 (though it was an actual Pro controller for WiiU, with turbo/slow buttons in the middle of the SNES instead of the duplicate start/select; but probably the materials are the same) and his only complaint was that +/- need a lot of force to press

But I imagine there's relatively a lot of variability between manufacturing runs (and manufacturers... doubt a single factory pumps out all the shells and buttons)

Are you near sea/salt water, or in general they just don't last. Sounds like if you driving a mercedes, you need a garage. I get snow n ice here so nothing worse than clearing that shit off at 6am rushing to get to work.

I went to auction at a mom/pops video game store few months ago that was closing, and bought 11 slims for $200, 1 was DOA but 10 work fine. so hella deal. Already rgh3'ed 8 of them. But most younger kids don't even want anymore, unless it plays stupid "fortnight", or newer shit.
