Here is one of the first tokusatsu series based on an old successful manga. Perhaps the first series broadcast in the United States. And it has an amazing opening theme song, to say the least. You be the judge.

"San.... Ni ..... Ichi ....... Henshin! ........ KIKAIDAAAAA."

I post the theme song of another old tokusatsu series, centered on a little boy who commands a huge, chubby and funny robot, similar to Giant Robot. It was also released in the U.S. in the form of movies consisting of a few episodes joined together.
This theme has the characteristics I most appreciate: compelling of course, but with dramatic, melancholy and poignant moments. Please listen to it in its entirety.

This is the opening theme song of Kotetsu Jeeg, one of Gō Nagai's earliest masterpieces, which features a man who transforms into the head of a robot, while the other body parts are launched from a spaceship, parts that then magnetically join together.
