Hacking Will a new network connection auto update my Wii U firmware?

Hi Guys,

I've just moved house and have now completed setting up my new wireless network

One question I have is, when I connect my Wii U to my new wireless network, will it try to auto update my firmware? or can I just amend my existing wireless connection which has a DNS set to:
107.211.140.065

I'm currently on 5.5.1 (E) and was previously using http://loadiine.ovh/ to run the exploit.

You should be able to edit the existing connection, keeping the DNS settings.

But, if you are able to block hosts at your router, then the update servers will be blocked even if you add a new connection and have not set the custom value for the DNS server. Blocking at the router level should be safest.

To block updates, go to your network settings, switch auto-obtain dns to manual and put 107.211.140.065 for both of them. This is Tubehax DNS. It will allow internet and online gaming but will block system updates, game updates, and youtube. I can't remember how it affects eShop and DLC. If you want to update a game, switch back to auto, let the game update, and then put the tubehax dns in again.

These are the ones I use. I know of people using even more though.

Setup a connection but put the password in wrong, Then setup tubehax & put the password right. Job done!
