Xbox 360 emulator "Xenia" gets a UWP port for Xbox Series S/X
For some time now, the Xbox Series consoles have been compatible with custom builds of RetroArch in UWP format, with a way to side load it be it through Dev Mode or through some more iffy method to load it as a normal app outside of Dev mode, effectively bringing almost all retro systems up to the PlayStation 2, Dreamcast and GC/Wii to the Series console. Alongside it, there has been a recent port in UWP format of the standalone Dolphin emulator, which brought the most recent and up-to-date features of Dolphin into the Series consoles compared to the outdated core that RetroArch used for Dolphin.
Now, yet another emulator joins the list of current available systems to play on the Series, with the addition of the Xbox 360 emulator, Xenia, getting a UWP port by SirMangler. The current backwards compatibility service that Xbox implemented some time ago for the Series S/X has started to announce the delisting of several games from the service. With this emulator, players which have the desire to play their beloved Xbox 360 classics that are getting delisted, or aren't currently available on the service, can now enjoy them on the Series via Xenia (given the game has the proper compatibility on the emulator).
People interested in the emulator can check out the latest UWP release of Xenia on SirMangler's GitHub.
