I know the game runs at 30fps most of the time with base clocks, but i usually play my switch in portable mode while plugged into the mains so i can use docked speeds while in 720p so having an unlocked framerate would make the game more smooth
Also being a PC guy i really prefer unlocked FPS even if it isnt stable

A release being out of the question though, correct? I think with the additional FOV modification, it could still be a redeemable experience for a lot of exploration if all that's affected is the animation, as you wouldn't see Link primarily. That is unless I'm misunderstanding 'double speed' though and literally everything is affected.

Nope. I've unlocked 60 FPS, but when it can achieve 60 FPS, it's double speed. Physics are working the same as in 30 FPS.

use a question mark on your posts when youre asking, ya know... questions...

your post implies that you had a mod for that.

do you have an fps unlock for TOTK that does not disable cheats? dynamic fps modifies the game so much that Edizon can no longer identify its build id to load the correct cheat file.

You have FPSLocker with patches for both BoTW and ToTK, they don't disable cheats.

And in case of BoTW my patch doesn't break ragdolls and fight with Thunderblight Ganon + has patched Dynamic Resolution, Dynamic game speed and triple buffer

Can you share a link to the mods you used in TOTK? The ones I used DynamicFPS 1.5.4 makes the cheats not work. The cheats won't appear in Edizon at all and the build ID disappears. When I remove the mod, the cheats work fine.

I redid the entire setup on my Switch and installed SaltyNX 0.7.2 and added main.npdm patch

I run the game, and increase FPS to 60 in the Overlay. The game FPS started to increase to 60, then when the game is loaded it went back to 30. At the advanced settings page in the overlay, it says

Plugin didn't apply patch to game
Set/Active/Available buffers: 0 / 2 / 2

It didn't go to tripple buffering even though I have the main.npdm file installed.

I am on version 1.2.1 of the game.

EDIT:

IT WORKED! I think there is a step missing the guide.

After setting the desired FPS select Save settings. Afterwards, go into Advanced settings and select Convert config to patch file. Reboot the game and it should work now.

@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

@BigOnYa, although the bullets are a bit buggy

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

im taking a break for today anyway

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
