Jailbreaking spree

Welp I'm officially insane /s

I found my iPod Touch 4th Generation and my dad gave me his old iPhone 4. He wants me to jailbreak his phone and I want to jailbreak my old iPod. This is the 2nd and 3rd device I hacked this month. Anyways, I find jailbreaking iOS devices fun because it can be one click, or it can be millions of required files.

Emojis are awesome. Stop being bland

I always found jail breaking my iPad 1 really fun. iOS 5-6 were the days. I want to jailbreak my iOS 10.3.3 device. It comes a matter of when iOS 11.3 comes out and when a 10.3.3 JB comes out/

I know its a joke, but emojis suck.

Anyways...

UPDATE 2: iPod Touch successfully jailbroken. For some reason, it kept failing, so I did some research, and it turns out the errors I was getting are cause by low storage on the iPod. Sure enough, it had about 300MB left of free space. So I deleted some useless shit, and now it worked.

It can be one click, or it can be millions of required files. This is not the EOF

Jail breaking is fun but I semi jail broke on iOS 9.5 then I wanted iOS 10. Bad idea

Don't jailbreak. Please. I'm an Apple enthusiast and have jailbroken many devices. It ruins your device. Apple has it's own self-destruct code inside which ruins your iOS device slowly. My friend did it on his iPhone 6s and it stopped working/booting. It leaves behind a mark even if you update your device. The creator of jailbreaking has discouraged it now. iOS 11 was literally every single popular tweak remade by Apple (Dark Mode/Smart Invert, Control Center, Files, etc.) so Apple will eventually add the features you want and they will actually be stable. You won't be able to use many apps in the App Store (the app doesn't let itself boot if it finds the mark of a jailbreak) like Super Mario Run, Miitomo (all Nintendo apps have jailbreak protection in it), and Impossible Road just to name a few.

What the fuck. They're my devices, I can do what I want. Plus, there is a lot of tweaks I doubt apple will ever add

Whoa, chill. I just want to let you know that, especially on a very old device like the iPhone 4, jailbreaking can cause hardware damage. Just like my friends 6s. It's not supposed to run what it wasn't made to run. I'm not stopping you, just advising you.

It's called bloating your device with way too many tweaks...

Tell him to do some research about tweaks, as he's obviously unable to do so himself.

why would you update it?

What the fuck? What an empty claim. I'd like some proof.

The whole point of jailbreaking is that it's customisations by the community, without Jailbreaking, Apple would run out of ideas. Apple also likes to drop support for many devices, so jailbreaking pretty much adds life to obsolete devices too.

There are a bunch of tweaks to fix this problem

For the love of god don't over-tweak the iphone 4 if it's running ios 7. You'll kill the battery in 2 hours. I did that myself

I love how people Jailbreak iOS devices only to get stock Android experience.
No seriously, I wonder why anybody would pay for an iOS device nowadays when Android devices are vastly better in almost every aspect

Usually when such a big title leaks the Temp will be the first to report about it (going off of historical reports here, Pokemon SV being the latest one I can recall seeing pop up here)

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
No real point since movies are 30fps
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Not a big movie buff, more of a gamer tbh. And Series X is 120hz 8k ready, but yea only 120hz 4k games out right now, but thinking of in the future.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Mostly why you never see TV manufacturers going post 60hz
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I only watch tv when i goto bed, it puts me to sleep, and I have a nas drive filled w my fav shows so i can watch them in order, commercial free. I usually watch Married w Children, or South Park
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Damn, only $2.06 and free shipping. Gotta cost more for them to ship than $2.06
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
That's where stremio comes to play never got a letter about it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just use a VPN, even give him my login and password so can use it also, and he refuses, he's funny.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I had to find and get him an old style flip phone even without text, cause thats what he wanted. No text, no internet, only phone calls. Old, old school.
