If you're Joe Rogan or Ben Shapiro, then your job is dishing out dumbass hot takes, and your audience is always going to love you for it. If you're a writer who has themes of inclusiveness strewn all throughout your books, you're gonna lose some of your target audience when you start tweeting about how biological women are inherently superior to anyone else who identifies as a woman. That's not "cancel culture," people are free to spend or not spend their money however they wish.
