Now we have coldboot softmod............................................ I WISHBeen away for while how the scene
I have been away for a good time too and been back only like a month, already heard about the chip but good to know all of that despite not having a OLED one...The last big jump in the scene was full Linux support for v2 & OLED Switches (needs modchip). Also some people have apparently discovered how to make a modchip using an RP2040 microcontroller, but the info hasn't been released freely and someone in China is seemingly making an encrypted version for profit, will be interesting to see how that pans out.
Seeing as you posted in the Atmosphere thread for some reason - Atmosphere continues to keep up with official firmware in a very timely fashion, and gradually add features of its own.
Though if I was going to upgrade my 2018 barely used Switch would be to a thing called SteamDeck, but I cancelled my order that was ready last summer, gonna wait for quite some time for an actual SteamDeck2 which will be more prepared for the soon upcoming true Next Gen games made in UE5 and any other game engine finally updated to true Next level...
Sadly half a year ago my 2011 I7 2600K oc to 4.9ghz on air and high voltage burned 1 core despite still working fine by setting use 3 cores in the UEFI (only Linux told me that cause wind10 just kept restarting and XP was just blue screen)... I had to use Steamdeck money to buy a used I7 8700K + board + 16GB DDR4 3600mhz
ps: My old PC and my wallet is what says HELL NO to all what's upcoming, but my eyes keep shinning specially with Starfield (I'm gonna be beyond mad if M$ screws it up)
