on Wii, now with the new USB Loader GX, you can put Resident Evil: Zero, 2 and 3 in progressive mode (PAL games), unfortunately 1 Remake, Code Veronica X and 4 still can't be put still in progressive mode
is there no way to update so more PAL games are in progressive?

if you make custom 480p patches then yeah , you can go for it, but why waste time when you can play the ntsc versions with native 480p support?

Does Nintendont work with those USB PDP GameCube-style controllers? Just curious (I bought one yesterday at a Goodwill to see what the potential would be to use it on a Wii U).

if you have one then try it... no one has every controller to try it, most fakes/3rd party rarely work on homebrew in general tough.

I have found little info on if Nintendont can work with Cafe2Wii. Is Nintendont compatible and if so how do I run it via with C2W enabled.

I have a few games that would benefit from the CPU speed, some massively like Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly and was hoping to try it out.

nintendont is compatible with overclock, but nintendont already runs gc games faster than the gc so i dont know if overclock will do much, if its gpu bottleneck it wont make any difference tough. all you need is an overclock compatible forwarder like all vwii overclock apps.

I can’t seem to find any premade overclock forwarders for Nintendont specifically. I am trying to find information on making my own forwarder.

Also, Spyro is CPU bound so it makes a big difference in FPS on Dolphin increasing CPU speed so I am hoping for better than stock results when done on a real console.

Any chance of this fork's option to invert joystick axis being incorporated upstream?

https://github.com/amooose/Nintendont-CStickInvertOption

Seems like it'd be a useful option in a lot of games, since many games at the time defaulted to inverted X-axis (or Y-axis, or both axes) with no option in-game to change the setting. I'd just use the one in the link, but it hasn't been updated in 2 years. If it already has been incorporated, I apologize, I haven't checked the settings screen recently.

So confused about controllers.

I followed the instructions to set up USB Loader GX and Nintendont in this thread. Wii games work just fine, but my genuine Nintendo Wii U Pro Controller does nothing in-game when attempting to play GameCube games.

Uninstalled Nintendont and followed the instructions in this thread here, and still nothing. The controller lights up, showing a connection, but any input yields no response from the games. I'm looking on my SD card and my USB, and I don't see a controller.ini file anywhere.

Tried the "download controller.zip" option after accessing Nintendont from the Homebrew Channel. Returned "Update Error: -1". Still no luck in-game.

Does anyone know of a plain English guide to getting an official Wii U Pro Controller set up with Nintendont?

If you have "native control" enabled in the settings, nothing will work except real GameCube controllers in real GameCube controller ports. Otherwise the controller should be working, as I never needed to do anything special to get my Wii U pro controller to work with Nintendont on Wii U.

It turns out the problem was that USB-HID Controller was turned ON in the USB Loader GX settings menu. Appears to work fine now. Not exactly what you mentioned, but it was a similar fix, so thank you!

Hm. That shouldn't be an issue preventing your pro controller from working at all unless you have a USB controller plugged in, in which case 1 USB controller plugged in would result in bluetooth controllers being treated as Player 2, 3, or 4, rather than being disabled entirely. Well, I'm glad you solved your issue at least.

Hi, I made a controller.ini file for a third party GameCube Controller adapter that I bought (Model GL-S025). I hope it helps to someone who has the exact same adapter. The slider needs to be on PC for it to work with Nintendont.

Thanks, I have a similar adapter with the same device/vendor id but different model number. My ini seemed to work but was missing a few options that you have in this one. I'll give it a try later and see how it works. For reference mine is model # HS-SW224 from a company called EVORETRO.

Thank you!. Can you tell me if it also works with your model?

Apparently The Hobbit EU can't force PAL60 (black screen), but with a cheat code it works perfectly, but the delficker filter doesn't disable it so maybe I need to use a hex editor and edit the main.dol... the problem is that I have no idea what to edit.
If someone understands this pls help me.

I would really like someone to make a code for Super Mario Sunshine, RE 1 remake, RE Code Veronica, RE 4 and P.N.03, because I myself do not know how to work with these programming things, with the new USB Loader GX now certain games that didn't work like RE zero and RE 2, now work perfectly in progressive, but I think Nintendont needs to improve more

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
