All this tells me is that there will be a free open source alternative in the near future that doesn't have brick code.
Yeah that would've totally crushed their plans, and I was both surprised and disappointed when it didn't happen. I thought for sure everyone working on switch homebrew were going to get together to push out a cfw and backup loader once TX announced this and possibly release it under a ninja banner so they werent associated with it. And now everybody is paying to pirate again. Sad days.Yeah yeah, I noticed. Was just playing with words. But really, who cares? The anti-piracy white knights can stand on their morals and T-X is standing on piles of cash. With all the CFW stuff coming out of the woodwork, and that PlayStation hacking group jumping into the mix recently, there are going to be a boat load of CFW options to pick from soon and T-X -MIGHT- see a very slow and steady decline in sales in the coming months.
But, for myself and fellow pirates, we just want backup loading and we want it NOW! T-X was the first out of the gate so they claimed the prize money. Going forward, they'll still rake in some cash (even after the explosion of CFW starts depriving them of $$$$) by selling their dongle. That PSX hacking group has it right also.... people want a dongle because it's super easy to load a payload onto your Switch that way vs. a web site.
If the Switch hacking scene wasn't dominated by attention whore anti-piracy white knight e-penis douche bags, they could have worked together and dropped a backup loader just as T-X was taking pre-orders. This would have dealt a big blow to T-X as they would have had to front the money for production costs then had the rug pulled out from under them as free alternatives popped up. They would of had a ton of product that nobody wanted because backup loading was free via alternative means but nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo....... muh morals!!!
So I guess T-X should be thanking groups like Toilet Bowl Overfail for being douches?
Cool, one works and is out and supports backups wnd the other isn't.
Yeah I’m enjoying it !LMAO and TX shills are still gonna defend them, enjoy your stolen piracy tool featuring brick code...
So what.... Would you like a hero sandwich?Yeah I’m enjoying it !

Actually it's licensed under gpl v2, meaning legally if they use the code they have to keep at least the open source parts they use/modify known and publicly available. So? Atmosphere is open source. Anyone can use it.

Going back to the actual topic, I don't think anyone should be too surprised by this. I only hope we see ReSwitched actually take some action over this, and TX gets what's coming to them.
