Eh, since I see some people here be giving suggestions for what to translate next... I kinda dunno, lol, don't exactly remember any particular game stuck in japanese or what that I greatly wish I could understand or what...

For the time being I must admit I wanna stay in my (sort of) comfort zone with the Wii : there are still some games that deserve a translation in my opinion, and while I'll be taking some rest (mostly to start actually learning Japanese), I have at least 2 more games in mind that I have successfully started messing with.

Maybe in the future I'll take a closer look to the GBA which, I'll admit, I don't know that well, since I kinda missed the "1995 to 2005" era (really went back to video games with the Wii, hence my love for that console).

nope to the best of my knowledge it is impossible for the vwii to have it set to anything other than 480p

Normally the patch should set it to region free automatically, but it's worth checking, right.

@Neotext , I didn't know you were using a Wii U (though it works just the same with my own Wii U) : I'm a bit out of idea here, maybe check the IOS USB Loader GX is using, and if any other wad (especially foreign ones) gives you a black screen as well.

i didn't set anything, i just installed the wad in the emunad with ShowMiiWads and started the game

@Neotext , I was just thinking : with the patch being in xdelta format due to RomHacking not accepting replacement files, your wad must be totally identical to the one I used.

Maybe you've just got an imperfect or modified dump? I left some clues in the readme for people looking for the wad, since I can't provide any link.

You might want to try another wad : remember the original file must have the following characteristics:

• Size : 47112320
• CRC : 9C11CB41

Well... if all these wads don't work except when booted on real nand, I advise you to do a fresh dump of your nand with USB Loader GX (I explain how to do it in the readme).

I guess something went wrong the first time, and redoing a dump might make all these wads work, including the translated edition of LAH.

For PAL users there is a somewhat complex method to be able to play properly without relying on USB Loader GX and the NTSC video mode required to be able to start it properly.

With Custom Nand Loader https://gbatemp.net/threads/custom-nand-loader-mod-1-1.198242/ you can modify the main.dol of the WAD in addition to the IOS that uses the WAD itself (IOS 53) making it force to NTSC and in this way the game be runs correctly from the menu on a PAL console

This method only usable if you intend to install it on the real NAND of your Wii and do not want to use emuNAND.

Nice trick, I wasn't aware of that!

I still prefer to install the game on Emunand due to the amount of space it needs, but it is nice to know there's a workaround about that "freezing when pushing home" thing!

Hello Nestor.

Unless you use @totakeke95 's advice, it's totally normal you have to set your video mode to "force NTSC", as the game was released in Japan.

That being said, I don't see why forcing to NTSC should be an issue? The only downside of emunand is, as previously stated in the readme, that saving takes much more time.

As for the game freezing on real nand when pressing "home", this is once again normal, and caused by the Pal video mode (see the readme for details).

If you really want to use the game on real nand, I suggest you try totakeke's trick, but your issue is not really one, and isn't patch-related (unpatched wad will freeze just the same)

OK. I will try to set emunand on usb and relaunch the game. Some other games don't works. For example Gyrostarr (black screen) or tnt racers (stuck on loading screen). Hope usb emunand will make Those games working.
