Switch's SoC can't be overclocked (like non-K Intel CPUs).

From what I understand, most if not all apps on the shield don't use it's full potential of is CPU. Most apps, or maybe all of them might run just fine. What are the clock differences between the Shield TV and Nintendo Switch? The shield runs at a higher clock right? The Switch housing may not be able to handle the heat.
its the double diference lolFrom what I understand, most if not all apps on the shield don't use it's full potential of is CPU. Most apps, or maybe all of them might run just fine. What are the clock differences between the Shield TV and Nintendo Switch?
Yea, but then again, you have smartphones with 2 cores on like 1.2ghz. Clock speed is not the problem here.its the double diference lol
shield has quadcore running 2ghz
switch has the quadcore running 1ghz
its preety damn change.
for what people want the switch to do it is, emulators are all cpu sided that is why people see gc emulator running on shiled and say it has to be possible on the switch, which might not be the case since i dont see a gc emulator running fullspeed on a quadcore 1ghz cpu, heck even n64 and ps1 will be right on the mark.Yes, but then again, you have smartphones with 2 cores on like 1.2ghz. Ps1 runs on vita (444mhz). Its just about optimizing it.for what people want the switch to do it is, emulators are all cpu sided that is why people see gc emulator running on shiled and say it has to be possible on the switch, which might not be the case since i dont see a gc emulator running fullspeed on a quadcore 1ghz cpu, heck even n64 and ps1 will be right on the mark.
hmm no, ps1 and psp have the same architeture cpu and vita has a mips processor inside so its not fully emulation either psp or ps1, so you can run it without doing much emulation, that is the reason ps1 runs so well, using same architeture basicaly cuts you alot of processing power to convert every call into a diferent architeture, for instance switch being arm can probably run ds and 3ds so much easier than for instance ps4 could becuase of same architeture, you gain a huge advantage on same type architeture for emulators.Ps1 runs on vita (444mhz). Ahh. Ok, so its like ds on 3ds or gba on ds?hmm no, ps1 and psp have the same architeture cpu and vita has a mips processor inside so its not fully emulation either psp or ps1, so you can run it without doing much emulation, that is the reason ps1 runs so well, using same architeture basicaly cuts you alot of processing power to convert every call into a diferent architeture, for instance switch being arm can probably run ds and 3ds so much easier than for instance ps4 could becuase of same architeture, you gain a huge advantage on same type architeture for emulators.
yup every portable console is ARM so they can easily just do some Fw and some small emulation tidbits on some minor stuff and make games run.But vita doesn't.
Ahh. Ok, so its like ds on 3ds or gba on ds?
Bluetooth controllers.Even if we can port it, would it support joy-cons?
thats because the problem with n64 is not the cpu but the gpu, up to this days we still dont have a definitive graphics plugin even on pc, n64 emuation is badly optimized and full of ahcks and needs several diferent gfx pluggins for diferent games.PSP and N64 both have MIPS processors, and look how Daedalus X64 endeed.
But only big or little cores (only 4) run at the same time...Tegra x1 isn't 4 cores, its 8, big/little cpu.
But only big or little cores (only 4) run at the same time...
that's why it is called that way: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARM_big.LITTLESource?
See at least you get it the hardware in the switch can not run it do to limits in it's own hardware but there's hybrids that can work only cause they are closer to linux .that's why it is called that way: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARM_big.LITTLE
But maybe, someone can figure out hot make them all run at the same time. But overheating and power consumption would be the problem then.
Please use punctuation. I have no idea where which sentence ends and starts .See at least you get it the hardware in the switch can not run it do to limits in it's own hardware but there's hybrids that can work only cause they are closer to linux .
For one .Screw punctuations on open forums .For two bud on the first page I posted a link to a boot anywhere Android Linux hybrid for 64 bit Android 6.0 . That already has some drivers that'll work I've given hints to all of you .Please use punctuation. I have no idea where which sentence ends and starts .
Also what do you mean by those "hybrids"?
